MARSEILLE, JULY 2026July 9th - 12thJoin us July 9th - 12th for our next Benshen Immersion, a pilgrimage to the waters of Marseille, where the lineage of Mary Magdalene is said to have arrived by sea. Rooted in the archetype of the Marys — the Beloved, the Mother, the Initiate — this immersion explores devotion, embodiment, and feminine power at its source. Think sun drenched days by the beach, delicious ocean swims, one full-day of workshops, all alongside a community of women coming together from around the world. In between resting by the beach and dining in the city, we’ll also explore the sites Mary Magdalene walked, bringing depth, beauty, magic and history to our weekend.

Thursday night, we gather in Marseille. Golden hour, a table somewhere in the city, conversations that pick up like you’ve known each other forever. This is where the weekend begins . We will pick a spot to all meet for food, drinks, and lots of laughter to begin the weekend together.

Our full-day workshop immersion from 10am - 6pm is the heart of the weekend. Led by Desiree Pais, Birjiwan Kaur, Rebecca Moore, Morgan Vickery, Amanda Edwards, this day is designed as a dynamic, multi-dimensional experience. Through movement, meditation, ritual, and integration, we’ll be working with the Magdalene current and lineage of the red thread, exploring devotion, embodiment, sensuality, and feminine power as a lived, felt experience.

We’ll gather along the coast of Marseille for a full day of sun, swims, and time together by the sea. Think long lunches, saltwater, music, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you’re relaxed, open, and surrounded by your coven. We will also follow the trail of Mary Magdalene, not only as the Saint, but as a woman who lived inside devotion, power, and controversy. This is in dedication and devotion to all women who were/are exiled, erased, and misunderstood. At the edge of the sea, we study what remains. And more importantly, what returns through us.

We'd recommend booking your transportation to and from the event as soon as possible, to ensure you can arrive without any complications or delays.
Note that Mercury will be retrograde during our Immersion so give yourself plenty of time, space and grace! Get to the airport and train stations early and just be prepared! Mercury was also retrograde during our Rome Immersion and it turned out beautiful, divine and the perfect time to slow down, reflect and be with community.

In the next few weeks, we will be sending a list of GORGEOUS places you can stay. If you’re coming alone or want to spend wisely, we will be connecting attendees with each other to book places to stay together!
