RITUAL • What are your daily inner + outer rituals to cultivate beauty and radiance?

I keep it very, very simple. As a new mom, wife, business owner and more, I now find such pleasure in simplicity. I indulge a very hot shower at night - it's my time to just let the day wash away in silence and make space for rest. When I wake, I direct my first thoughts to thoughts of love. I sit with thoughts of Lillian, my daughter, I focus on my heart's desires, I bring awareness to a higher perspective. I try to do this every morning! Some days are easier than others, but that's the practice.

NOURISH • What are your staples for beauty + wellness + radiance?

Tons of water. I love bee pollen on my breakfast. I eat a ton of spinach and dark leafy greens. Colorful, crisp, brightly colored vegetables as often as possible throughout the day.

BODY • How do you keep your body healthy, strong, and powerful?

I walk, hike and practice a heated yoga flow. These three practices are so essential for me to stay balanced. I love the outdoors early in the morning. I wear Lillian (she's still young enough that I can do so) and walk with her. I love being in wide, open spaces with her - just listening to the wind in the leaves in the trees. My hot yoga practice is my ultimate diving deep practice. It's such an incredible gift - the effect that it has on my clarity of mind. It's been a healer for me, and gives me the tools I need for bringing my vision to life.

MIND • How do you stay grounded, confident, and centered in this modern day craziness we call life?

I use the above practices. I also journal, listen to my teachers, read books that remind me of my truth. I process through perspective - I try to step outside of myself and witness where my mind is at and why. That is always a helpful tool. I have a strong and powerful community - my husband, my family, my girlfriends. I talk things out with them, get a different perspective. I use my tools to get back to my place of knowingness.

SPIRIT • BENSHEN means 'root of the spirit' - how do you root your spirit into your life, which in turn, keeps your body beautiful, healthy, and radiant?

I root spirit into my life by practice. The practice of spiritual perspective and the honing of my tools for that practice. These tools allow me to integrate into the day-to-day in the way I feel I should, or take a step back and drop out of the game, all with the intention of the greatest good and will of spirit. I am unabashedly honest with myself in regards to my perspective. I dive deep and direct, often. I view personal and professional challenges as teachings and opportunities to evolve. As a truth seeker, at the root of everything, I know there is only love. The bits and pieces of daily life are here to do what I choose with, they are lessons on my path. I'm exponentially grateful to have this understanding, be able to feel the love that I do, and have these joyous beings in my life around me. What a gift this life is.
