RITUAL • What are your daily inner + outer rituals to cultivate beauty and radiance?

I start each morning with a cold rinse on my face and then slather on Benshen Serum No. 1 to moisturize and brighten my skin. I follow this with hot water, lemon and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper to jumpstart my system. I meditate every morning for one hour starting with 15 minutes of self love and sensuality centering to reconnect with the divine. I use crystals with my meditation depending on what my day will consist of. Once a week I use a Israeli supreme peeling gel from the dead sea. I follow that with an anti aging clay mask. When my skin is clean I put on "Home Healer" Blemish treatment lotion to combat acne, follow by vitamin c serum and Benshen Serum. When I do have an outbreak I use tea tree oil and Neem oil to help with the healing process.

NOURISH • What are your staples for beauty + wellness + radiance?

First are foremost I always eat organic and mostly plant based. My staple items are definitely fats. I use coconut oil in my tea twice a day as well as cook my veggies with it. Nut butters are my go to for breakfast or snacks paired with bananas or an apple. Avocado is also a must have for pretty much every day. I love anti-inflammatory foods like sweet potatoes, salmon, dark leafy greens, tumeric lattes with my home made almond milk, mushrooms, and lots of garlic raw and cooked. When I do eat meat I lean towards wild caught elk. Dates are my go to for something sweet. I like to pair them with cashew butter. I also love to make raw chocolate using coconut oil and fresh organic cacao. I always drink tons of alkaline water and I love nettle tea which is excellent for your blood amongst other things.

BODY • How do you keep your body healthy, strong, and powerful?

I love to exercise. Its my favorite way to de-stress. I find that it is the best thing if I ever feel unbalanced, sluggish or bloated. I love hiking in nature, yoga, pilates and cross-fit style workouts which are high intensity and are amazing for releasing human growth hormones. I am game to try any kind of exercise because I love my body and I know the stronger I am physically the more my spirit soars. I also love to dance. Five rhythms or ecstatic dance are my favorite to really let go and reconnect with my inner goddess. Baths are another way I get to unwind. I run a hot bath, fill it with epsom salts and lavender oil and then light tons of candles, turn off my phone and relax or read. After the bath I slather myself with almond or sesame oil to lock in moisture. Quiet time or puja is an incredible way to reconnect with the body. A lot of us on a spiritual path tend to focus on spirit and forget about our physical body but this body is the only one we have so treat it like the temple it is. Worship your body with sensual touch and care. It will respond beautifully.

MIND • How do you stay grounded, confident, and centered in this modern day craziness we call life?

The mind is a very powerful thing. I like to center it with a combination of meditation, writing, reading and reconnecting with nature. I also love tarot card decks for guidance. I have six decks that I switch off between every day.  Whenever I feel unbalanced I take a walk in nature and I instantly feel more centered and connected to what is truly important. I love to read. Reading gives me a new perspective and inspires me to create more. I am currently reading "The Hidden Language Code" By R. Neville Johnston which is absolutely blowing my mind. Dancing is an incredible way to quiet the mind and get back into my body. Over the years I have come to realize that the physical body is the only thing that is always present so when I reconnect to that the self love begins again. Self love is number one and I like to remind people that it is like a shower: you can go a few days without it but after a while you start to stink. Love yourself everyday and it becomes much easier to maintain. Creating wether it be writing, painting, drawing, singing etc is an excellent way to liberate the spirit. To become like a child again. Creative and free.

SPIRIT • BENSHEN means 'root of the spirit' - how do you root your spirit into your life, which in turn, keeps your body beautiful, healthy, and radiant?

Meditation is my daily practice that consistently reminds me of what is actually important, which is the union of self and spirit. Clearing the body of things that no longer serve you allows you to truly cultivate your intuition. We are always being guided. If we are clear we are able to truly listen to what our body and spirit desires to function at its peak.  Being acutely aware of our language and thoughts allow us to manifest and attract our desires and be a vehicle for whatever it is we want to create. By staying consistent with my practice and making time for myself I am able to keep my channel clear in order to receive. Being curious is an incredibly powerful tool. Getting excited about life's ups and downs and knowing that we are the creators of our world. We have all the tools we need inside of us already.
