"I THINK BEAUTY IS THE EXTERNALIZED EXPRESSION OF HEALTH AND SPIRIT."
RITUAL • What are your daily inner + outer rituals to cultivate beauty and radiance?
Upon waking, I go through a series of meditations to start my day. Then I jump on my rebounder for 30 minutes. Three days a week, I will add some form of yoga to this routine. I take a shot of liquid vitamins every morning and evening. These (morning + nighttime) vitamins were specially formulated by my go-to nutritionist, Mary-Ruth Ghiyam. In addition, I make an effort to drink at least 60 ounces of water before noon, and another 40 ounces throughout the day. I also drink cold-pressed green juice every morning as well as herbal tea.
Skincare is very important to me. Each morning I start by using a skin brush over my entire body which is good for the complexion as well as the lymphatic system. I use Benshen toner and serum on my face in the morning and before bed. If I need extra moisture I add Restorsea Vibransea Moisturizing Cream for my face and I love the Restorsea Hand Cream.
NOURISH • What are your staples for beauty + wellness + radiance?
I believe nutrition is the foundation for good health and beauty. I love to cook and eat according to the principles of food combining. My favorite thing to make is puree of Japanese yams. I add a bit of coconut butter, himalayan sea salt, and a few drops of stevia...the result is amazing! My diet is mostly grain-free and I try to consume raw fats like coconut butter and avocados. I eat vegan meals during the day and for dinner I'll have wild-caught salmon or cod with green veggies. I love dark chocolate too!
BODY • How do you keep your body healthy, strong, and powerful?
Regular yoga and daily rebounding is essential for me. I use the infrared sauna for one hour a week and I go for regular hydro-colon therapy treatments. I also have a great chiropractor and masseuse who I try to see at least once a month.
MIND • How do you stay grounded, confident, and centered in this modern day craziness we call life?
Spirituality is a key focus in my life. I've been studying Kabbalah for the last four years which has brought a tremendous sense of balance, happiness, and light into my life.
SPIRIT • BENSHEN means 'root of the spirit' - how do you root your spirit into your life, which in turn, keeps your body beautiful, healthy, and radiant?
I try to inject light and sharing consciousness into every thought and action each and every day.
