RITUAL • What are your daily inner + outer rituals to cultivate beauty and radiance?

I love waking up early to enjoy my morning. Meditating, making coffee, or a hot tonic with different herbs and home-made nutmilk, taking a walk on the beach.

I don’t use many products on my skin or hair. For my skin, I like to use Earth Tu Face products, coconut oil and jojoba oil. I also use lots of rosewater spray.

At night I love nothing more than coming home to a hot bath with coconut oil and essential oils!


NOURISH • What are your staples for beauty + wellness + radiance?

Water! I drink a ton of water. Coconut oil is probably my biggest staple. From cooking and baking, to my baths, putting it on my skin and hair, and using it as a makeup remover!

I love making smoothies with different fruits and superfoods. Sometimes I add green juice to them, too. On colder mornings, I have oatmeal with different toppings—from almond butter to goji berries. If I have to to be up early for work I will make chia seed oatmeal over night. Its so good and easy to make just having everything soak together overnight!

I could live on Japanese sweet potatoes roasted (with coconut oil, of course!). I eat lots of  salmon, quinoa, avocado, greens and roasted veggies. I always try and keep my kitchen and refrigerator full of fresh, organic produce from the markets.

I always feel great after a spirit tonic from Moon Juice! And I can’t resist a Zen Bunni chocolate while I’m there. I’ve recently been making reishi teas from Sun Potion. It’s amazing how centered and balanced they make me feel.


BODY • How do you keep your body healthy, strong, and powerful?

Meditation, sleep, and yoga. Getting outside and being in the sun!

We live on the beach and walking along the water is like its own form of meditation. It combines the benefits of movement with the grounding effect of the ocean. 

And if I’m ever feeling “off,” going and seeing my acupuncturist always helps to bring balance back into the body.


MIND • How do you stay grounded, confident, and centered in this modern day craziness we call life?

Love is the greatest gift. I’m so happy to be in a relationship with someone who helps me stay balanced and boosts my confidence. Staying connected and having open, honest communication on a daily basis is really key to our relationship. 

I love reading. Having a good book is both a great mental release and a spur for imagination. Learning keeps my brain fired up and expanding. I’ve gotten into online courses. Right now I’m wrapping up a class through M.A.K.E. on plant-based and healing diets.

One tool I’ve adopted recently is being in a state of “having,” as opposed to “wanting.” It keeps me focused on the many things wonderful things I have in my life, and having gratitude for them. 

And staying fully present in the moment.


SPIRIT • BENSHEN means 'root of the spirit' - how do you root your spirit into your life, which in turn, keeps your body beautiful, healthy, and radiant?

Having self-love. Understanding that my self is actually a projection of my spirit. Knowing that nothing can be added or taken away from my spirit. It connects to being unattached and not in wanting, and allowing abundance to come naturally.

I love creating and making collages. It’s a spiritual practice to me, and it’s something I love to do! I try and create manifestation/dream boards at the beginning of each month.
